Making College and
Career Count
As a part of our efforts to prepare seniors for future success,
the Student Services Department is pleased to offer a presentation
that can play an important role in the process. Making College
and Career Count, a practical, current look at succeeding
after high school, will be presented in the Norwich High
School Auditorium on Wednesday, May 28 at 9:00 a.m.
We would like to invite senior students and their parent/guardians
to attend this dynamic presentation. Parents across the nation
have found the program to provide a very helpful perspective
on what their students will experience and have become better
able to assist them by attending the presentation.
Making College and Career Count offers valuable
perspective to students on how to:
• set and achieve personal success goals;
• manage finances and avoid the pitfalls of credit card debt;
• manage time and set priorities;
• utilize internships and other jobs to build critical skills; and
• choose an appropriate career path by evaluating strengths, interests
and the future job market.
The program shares the national success statistics for today’s
students and stresses that every individual’s post
high school experience
is unique. It shares fundamentals for success—things
many college students know by senior year but wish they had
understood earlier in the process.
There is no fee to attend the presentation. If you have any
questions, please contact Student Services at 334-1600, ext.
1037.
If you would like to learn more about this program, you may
also visit the Making It Count website at www.makingitcount.com.
We look forward to seeing you at the presentation.
