The Board of Education of the Norwich City School District consists of seven unpaid members elected to three-year terms of office by residents of the District. Within rules, laws and regulations set down by state and federal governments, the Board of Education functions as a legislative body responsible for governing education within the District. The Board meets twice monthly in the school district offices located within the Eaton Center at 19 Eaton Avenue. District residents are welcome to attend both the regular and special Board of Education meeting. Board meeting dates for the 2007-2008 are available at the link below.

Two (2) members of the Board of Education for a term of three (3) years
O one (1) member to fill the unexpired term of Christopher Frank through June 2009
O one (1) member to fill the unexpired term of Catherine Stewart through June 2009

One (1) member of the Board of Trustees of the Guernsey Memorial Library of Norwich for a term of five (5) years
One (1) member to fill the unexpired term of Lorrie Adwards through June 2010.
